Live Your Dash

Hello RE-IGNITE Nation – we have a saying here, and that is to live your dash with intention… you see…

In the end, our lives will be represented by dates; a beginning date, an end date, and a dash between the two.  What matters most is that dash.  I believe in living your dash with passion and energy. Make history, not excuses. Never stop living your dash.

Todd Judkins

Your dash means…

Living your life with intention…

This is the essence of what it means to re-ignite.  It doesn’t matter how you arrived at today, whether you crashed & burned in the corporate world, or want to be awakened to your true purpose. Re-igniting is about relighting your internal fire.  To make this world, our home a better place to live.

What is it you want to do?  Where is it you want to go?  How do you want to leave your legacy?

Your Dash is destined to leave an everlasting impact! Why?

Because you hold the pen to the story of your life.  Write the story you desire. Don’t give your power away and allow someone else to dictate your story.

Your dash belongs to you! Seize the moment!  Embrace the challenge! There is no scenario you can’t change!

You are living in the most significant period in human history to be alive. We have a mind that can conceive and achieve anything.

How will you define Your Dash!

A study was done with senior citizens in a nursing home. What astonished researchers was that to the participants didn’t regret what actions they took in their lives, they mourned the actions they didn’t take.

What actions are you leaving undone?

Now I know what you’re saying…

Todd, if only I had this resource, or this, or that, but I am going to stop you right there.

One never lacks resources, only resourcefulness.

We are not in the business of making excuses. We are in the business of designing our lives with intention and purpose.

Want to change your mindset today and begin living your dash? Apply the rocking chair test to every decision you make.

It works like this…

Think to yourself … Later in life when I am in rocking chair, and a researcher comes to me and ask…

What are the things you regret not doing in life?

Is your answer going to full of should have’s or are you going to look at that researcher in the eye, smile and say nothing! Because you live your dash and if you are in the RE-IGNITE mindset you’ll still have plenty more to accomplish!

That’s living your dash!

With one life…

You have to be all in on your life…  Be intentional with your time and energy

And you have to act with purpose now and start where you are…

Thinking about yesterday is fruitless because you can’t change the past.

Worrying about tomorrow just steals from today’s energy.

The time is now, and you are this moment, so seize it. Maximize your effort and when you go to bed, tonight express gratitude for all you have accomplished.

Don’t be that person who gives up on their dreams on the first hurdle!

When you express your desire and go for it, the universe takes over and works to make it a reality.  If a door closes, it’s only because another door, the door you were meant to go through is about to open and every challenge arms you with the tools you are going to need to be successful on your journey.

I want to leave you today with a passage from the great Native American Shawnee warrior and chief who lived in the later 18th and early 19th centuries, Tecumseh …

So, live your life so that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, and beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger when in a lonely place. Show respect to all and bow to none.  When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their times comes, they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.  Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Tecumseh knew how to live his dash!

To live strong requires sound nutrition.  One of the principals I follow to re-ignite my life is intermittent fasting. I use this technique combined with nutrient timing to ensure my body utilizes nutrition efficiently.  These are some of the principles taught by our health and wellness advisors.
