Happiness.

We need to find a way to raise our level of happiness to the now, to this very moment.

You see society has taken happiness and move it behind achievement.  This has created a world where we are taught that if we work harder then we will achieve, and when we achieve THEN we will be happy.

I am here to tell you that this is not how the brain works.

When we follow what society has told us, that if I am more successful then I will be happy, it creates the ultimate mental conundrum, because we will just continue to move the goal post.

We need to move our happiness ahead of our achievement.

Get happy now.

Start where you are and be happy.

Find those things, those special moments today that will bring an overwhelming feeling of happiness into your life.

Happiness releases a powerful hormone called dopamine, which will turn on all the creative centers of the brain.

That’s how you live a RE-IGNITED Life.

Getting happy now would actually improve your successes by creating inner peace and self-confidence that you could tap, on demand, to thrive in work and play.

There are 5 keys to happiness discussed in my book RE-IGNITE:

  1. Gratitude through finding your WHY, your passion, your reason for being and expressing it every day. Each night, my family gets together and shares 3 things we are grateful.  This helps us train our brain to focus on positive events in a world dedicated to delivering negative news events.

  1. Sleep to keep our memory peaked and allow us to re-live our positive experiences. Good sleep habits along with regular journaling will keep our brain cells active and are memory sharp as a tack.

  1. Meditation that allows us to reduce stress and keep our focus on those things that are most important to us. When coupled with the gratitude package makes a powerful cocktail of positive energy.

  1. Exercise because discipline matters. At RE-IGNITE the preferred exercise routine is the one you enjoy.  Get out in nature or go to the gym.  Whatever brings you joy will strengthen your body and change your behavior for the better.

  1. Perform a random act of kindness. Giving back just reinforces your happiness.  I actually try to have a few bills in the car so I see someone in need asking for help at the street corner I can give a little.

Show a sign of gratitude.

You’ll be in the flow of life and on your way to adopting the RE-IGNITE happiness equation of placing happiness well ahead of achievement.
